Ask which drawings and synthetic-skin exercises you should prepare, what equipment is required and how your work will be assessed. Find out whether there is preparation to complete before an in-person session so that you can make good use of the trainer’s time.
Do not assume a model session or work on a person is included simply because a course is described as practical. Confirm any model arrangements directly with the training team and follow the trainer’s assessment of readiness.
Understand how feedback works
- Who will review your practical work?
- Should you submit photographs, bring exercises to a session or both?
- How should you ask for help with a technique?
- What should you do if an exercise needs to be repeated?
- How will the trainer decide what you should work on next?
