What the training covers

Study bloodborne pathogens (BBP) in the context of tattooing, piercing, permanent makeup, microblading and related body-art work. The course connects infection-control learning to the tasks and records you use in a studio.

• Understand exposure: the chain of infection, how bloodborne pathogens spread, and learning about hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV.
• Review everyday precautions: hand hygiene, glove removal, personal protective equipment, sharps handling, clinical waste and blood-spill procedures.
• Plan and document: workplace exposure-control planning, incident response, medical and training records, and safety data sheets.
• Apply your learning: review studio workflow examples, check your understanding with the knowledge quiz, and complete a personal reflection and action plan.

How study and certification work

Work through 24 lessons with recorded teaching, current written guidance and a printable study handbook. Keep notes and questions as you go, then use the quiz and reflection to review your learning. Follow the current Academy course menu and supporting notes alongside the videos.

Your BBP training certificate follows completion of the course requirements. Review the material and keep your own study notes before the final Finish course action: lesson access locks once the course is complete and the certificate is issued. Skinart support continues for life.
