Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP)

Bloodborne pathogens (BBP) are pathogenic microorganisms that are present in human blood; these and other potentially infectious materials (OPIM) can cause disease.

BBP training is included. Its certificate requires completing the BBP course requirements.

BBP training covers bloodborne infection risks and practical hygiene precautions. Check the requirements that apply to your premises and services with the relevant local authority and insurer; a course certificate does not establish regulatory approval.

The Process, Simplified

  2. Review the included full online learning and assessments for both disciplines, then plan time for theory and repeated practical work.
  3. Choose With equipment for the listed kits, which you keep. Choose Without equipment if you have suitable supplies; confirm what to bring for the practical training.
  4. Complete the required online work, in-person training and practical assessments for the courses in your package.
  5. Certificates require each course’s completion requirements and trainer assessment.

The package combines studio training with full online learning. Review the PMU course and piercing course details. Confirm dates with Skinart and review equipment choices on the current package page before enrolling. Allow time to complete all required practice and assessments.
