5 Steps to creating a professional tattoo design
Step 1 – Photograph the Clients body part
Take a clear Photo of the clients body part were the tattoo will be located, not too close and don’t use a flash
Step 2 – Compose the Design
- Use a as many reference images form google as you need
- cut them out and arrange them in a way that flows with the muscles / body part
- do a few different combinations
- Utilize a brush to add drop shadows and value(contrast)
- Morphe them together using a transparency brush
Step 3 Save in Jpg or bitmap format
- Save the image / flatten it into a jpeg format
Remember white is transparent and and all shades of grey or color will be different shades of transparency

- Once you have created it download the result
Step 5 Produce the Final image for the Client
In your favorite design software
- open the picture of the clients body part
- place the newly created png image in a layer over the body part image
- Resize the two pictures as necessary
