Make a workable study routine
Set aside separate time for watching lessons and practising. Pause after a demonstration, record your questions and complete the relevant exercise before collecting more techniques. A short regular practice routine is easier to review than a large pile of unrelated work.
Create a useful practice record
Keep dated examples, name the exercise and explain what you were trying to improve. Use clear photographs with consistent light. Do not retouch the workmanship in an assignment: the point of feedback is to identify what needs attention.
